WORKPLACE MEDIA POLICIES AND EMPLOYEE FOCUS: EVALUATING THE ROLE OF ORGANIZATIONAL REGULATION IN CONTROLLING DIGITAL DISTRACTIONS

This study investigates the effectiveness of workplace media policies and organizational regulations in mitigating digital distractions and enhancing employee focus. Using a survey design, data were collected from 200 employees via structured questionnaires. Descriptive (mean, standard deviation) and inferential statistics (regression analysis, ANOVA) were applied for analysis. The findings reveal that both workplace media policies and organizational regulations have a significant impact on reducing digital distractions and improving employee focus and productivity. Policies that are clear, flexible, and consistently enforced are more effective, while overly restrictive regulations can lead to covert device use and increased stress. The study concludes that a balanced approach to regulation, involving employee participation in policy formulation, can foster a productive work environment that minimizes distractions without compromising employee autonomy. employee participation in policy formulation, can foster a productive work environment that minimizes distractions without compromising employee autonomy. Organizations are encouraged to adopt adaptable media policies, involve employees in policy creation, and regularly review and update these policies to keep pace with technological advancements. Leadership training in digital behavior modeling and enforcing regulations is also recommended for long-term effectiveness
